Nice restaurant onsite, courteous staff. Booked king room with a mini bar, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a CD player. Moreover, hotel offered us free Wi Fi. Great base for exploring Oakland.
We greatly enjoyed our time here. Btw, their valet is top!
The hotel is located on an noisy street so be ready.
The hotel was very clean, and we liked a convenient location. The downtown is within 15 minutes' walk. Just a walk down to Lungomare, where you can have lunch. Rooms where big.
the service was impeccable, I have stayed in higher ranked, more expensive, hotels all over the world. The service here is among the best. from the front desk to the cleaning staff to the bell hops everyone was so outgoing and helpful. The rate thru Booking. com was extraordinary compared to the regular rack rate.
The wifi is horrible, totally useless. It is a disgrace of the hotel. Cannot believe this is it business in us.
The staff was extremely kind. The room was perfect and we would absolutely stay again
The staff did a wonderful job. very friendly
Parking and the cost to park no breakfast for guess
I travel a fair amount and can't remember another stay where every single staff member was as cordial, sincere and professional as this one. What a pleasure to feel so important to their success as an entity and as individuals. Though we only stayed one night, I'm sure we will be back. Thanks for a most wonderful experience.
Located in a marginal neighborhood
Was a very nice hotel for the price. We will definitely return in the future. Excellent location and can easily ride with the ferry to San Francisco.
Beautiful venue facing the sea. Attractive, clean and wide room - children who likes sea would adore it. It's significantly cheapter than staying in San Francisco, and if you cannot stand the city noise, this hotel would be perfect. Almost every staff members were kind and attentive.
If you do not drive, it's rather difficult to get to the hotel - it was nearly impossible for me to get the cab either from Lake Merritt bart station nor Oakland city centre (try in front of hotels if you need to find one). You can walk from lm Bart Station, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are alone and/or it's dark/getting darker. It is far from almost everything, and I didn't like the fact that I needed to go through the dark parking space to access my room.
The location in Jack London Square, fairly spacious rooms
Unexpected noise of the Amtrack as it passed very close to hotel
There is a shower only, no bath. The wall is thin. The noise were heared from the adjacent rooms or the passage. The room is narrow.
Lovely evening meal at restaurant
having a limo called for us when we had asked for a cab!
Interesting part of town, near the Sunday market
Noise from the train whistle all night long
